We drove in relative comfort. Most Haitians endure hot, dusty roads sitting on top of their crates or on the side rails, sitting so close to one another that you don't believe they're going to stop to let even more on board. But they do. Everyone squeezes a little tighter. .Along the way we had to drive over the rice put out in the roads to dry in the sun...To see it, roll your mouse over the picture above.

The Free Methodist Mission, , and Doris and Don Peavey who have run the orphanage for thirty years. At present they are raising 50 children. Along the way, they have raised three sets of triplets and many sets of twins.

What pleases Doris and Don are the number of former wards now grown and educated who have come back to help out at the orphanage.
